Congratulations to PSU’s U13 Girls Select team who defeated MSC last week Sunday to earn the title of President’s Cup State Champs! The game went into double overtime followed by nine penalty kicks before PSU ultimately prevailed.

“You know with our team we always talk about playing with passion and purpose. Going into this tournament we knew we would face some tough competition and we were ready even though we were very similar to our competition in terms of skill. It was our passion that drove us forward to ultimately reach our goal which was to go to Kansas next week to compete at the Regional Tournament.” – U13 Girls Coach Lati Ziba

Good luck in Kansas girls!!!

We hosted our sixth annual in-house mixed age group U9-U15 Winter Futsal tournament on March 9 (boys) and March 16 (girls). This year’s theme was Passion 4 Possession with a focus on growing passion, developing skill, and building character. The days were filled with smiles, skill, sportsmanship, and lots of close games. For the first time this year we awarded a special Passion 4 Possession trophy to one individual player from each age group who showed the most passion, skill, and character with the ball at their feet. Great job players! Thanks to all of our families and volunteers for participating and to Ridgewood Baptist Church for allowing us to use their space!

The U12 Girls Rec Team, PSU Marlins, participated in the Elmbrook United 18th Annual Great Pumpkin Tournament, and won their division. Two victories (including a shut-out) and another close game gave them the points edge and a first place finish. The shut-out came courtesy of some ferocious defense by Liliana Levas, Alyssa Wallner and Amanda Zehelein and the stellar play of keeper Amara Trotier. The offense started strong and played fast and smart all day long. Every last one of the girls displayed tough, unselfish team play throughout the entire tournament.

The Marlins are coached by Michael Levas and Chris Trotier
