Orlando Pride are the Champions!

The girls’ futsal tournament proved to be a very competitive day with spirited teams fighting each game to the delight of the fans. The games were very close, particularly in the later rounds. Ultimately, the championship was captured by the Orlando Pride, coached by Mark Hagen. The championship game against the Chicago Red Stars was tied 2-2 at half, and that score remained until there were 4 minutes left. A late goal proved to be the difference maker and the defense held off some late charges by Chicago, highlighted by some amazing goalie work. All day the girls played some fantastic soccer and it looks like they are ready for the Spring Season!
