Referees are essential to our game! PS United is hosting a referee class for new referees on Saturday, February 20th at Hamilton High School. You must be 12 years of age or older to sign up for the course and become a referee. The course is instructed by the Wisconsin Soccer Referee Development Organization, who also assigns referees to games. An on-line portion of the course is required to complete at home prior to the class date; plan on 8 hours to complete. This is followed by an 8 hour class and basic exam on February 20th.
Becoming a referee is a good way for kids to give back to the game, gain a deeper understanding, and earn some money! Parents and adults should also consider taking the course and becoming a ref – study with your child and contribute to the game your kids enjoy!
